SH1: Sheep Young Handler Competition

The entrant must be under 17 years of age on the day of the Show
The entrant will present a ram or a ewe, any breed at the Show.
Judging will include style, appearance and ability to handle and show the exhibit.
Some knowledge of animal health is important
Entries taken on the day.
1st Prize €30 - 2nd Prize €20 - 3rd Prize €10
The criterion is the entrant and his/her ability rather than the exhibit, and takes into account the age of the exhibitor.
A small plaque and rosette is awarded to each exhibitor.

SHEEP CLASSES - SUNDAY, JUNE 28th 2026
Minimum size of class to proceed is 4 entries. The committee may amalgamate classes if they desire. A fourth prize will be awarded where 8 entries or over. All sheep to be penned at 11am.
Judging commences at 11.30am.
ENTRY FEE: € 10.00 per pedigree - € 8.00 per non-pedigree entry - A pair or group of three are treated as a single entry
Prize Money, or product to the value thereof, will be as stated below:
